Trying to enjoy....
Its May 31st and I am trying to enjoy the last days of our mini vacation before next weeks insanity of final preparations. Napili is beautiful with Molokai across the channel. Here is a rare shot where you can see the whole island top to bottom.
Jamie has been enjoying good quality time with her mom, chillin on the beach!
...and I have been mixing my time between emails, and leisure activities. I even played golf at Kapalua, thanks to Michael Green (my step brother in-law). I have to remember to let the person win who is treating the round...oops

My new Light and Motion Housing has been delivered to the boat, but with no lights....SO I am now scrambling to try and get a light package in the next 10 days. My buddy Richard from Alabama has offered his old NiteRider lights, but I need a battery for those...well see where that goes. The SR12 camera will be in Long Beach on Monday..after they use it for the Scuba Expo as a demo, and again I will have to learn that on the sail out to the gyre.
I've been monitoring Roz Savages progress with her solo row across the Pacific and her latest blog entry got me thinking about one of the coolest aspects of this voyage. I will be diving in places never dove before by humans...that's very exciting to think about.
The anticipation of what I may see or encounter is what makes this whole thing so exciting...or as Roz said...the fact that no human has ever dove this before is a statement that can rarely be made today.
Still nervous????? YES!
